| Most American children have diets that need improvement. A study done by the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that only 35% of 2 to 3 year olds have what the USDA defines as a good diet. By age 4 to 6 only 16% of children have good diets. What can you do to improve your child's diet? We have help for you: information about your child's nutritional needs, ideas on how to deal with a picky eater, how to get more of the good stuff into his diet and how to make sure that the food you feed your child is safe. Test your knowledge of food safety by taking our Food Safety Quiz. If you need help transitioning your child from milk to solids and on to table food, check out the information on First Foods. Or see the book for more detail on all of these topics. |
